2009 Run/Walk

Over 1,000 friends, family, and
business sponsors attended the

First Annual

C.A.R.E 5K Run/Walk for Autism

Downtown Lakewood Ranch was filled with supporters of autism awareness on April 18th.  365 runners crossed the finish line and made way for more than 600 to walk for a great cause.

C.A.R.E’s primary mission is to increase awareness of the rising epidemic of autism.  This event passed important information to over 2,500 people during National Autism Awareness Month and raised $80,000 to provide education and resources for families facing autism in our community.

This success was made possible because of the dedication of the countless volunteers who gave up their time before, during, and after the event.  Thank you is not enough!

And to all of you who helped in the mass education of others in April, whether word of mouth, email, running, or walking…your participation was extraordinary!

Finally, to our event sponsor The Vein Center @ Batey and all of our business sponsors, families, fundraisers, and donors...THANK YOU!
